I first met Fritz in Guam in 1997 and was lucky enough to get to fly with him all over the Pacific. In those formative years, Fritz taught me a great deal about flying and about how to be an airline pilot, lessons for which I'll be forever grateful. Fritz lived up to the definition of a true gentleman. His smile and kind ways is what set him apart from others. He was a wonderful pilot who made long flights more bearable. He will be missed by all of his friends at Ryan, yet will never be forgotten. To his family, may you find comfort knowing you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and that Fritz will live on through the many future flights dedicated to his memory.

Toma and All Other Family ~ I didn't know Fritz much beyond a workplace acquaintance, as our paths didn't cross that often. Judy and I are so saddened at the loss of our good friend. Fritz and I flew together many times from the Pacific to South America to the Middle East and beyond. I met Fritz in Saipan in 1994 and like anyone else that knew him, he became a close friend. A man of strong moral character, Fritz was kind, tolerant, patient, and considerate of other points of view. He often met the inbound crews late in the evening, with a cooler of beer. Fritz loved aviation and always had a model airplane or two under construction. He was a good pilot and fun to fly with on the hardest of many 15 hour days over the Pacific. Those were 4 great years with some great flying, great parties, and great friends,and Fritz was one of the best. I will miss you Fritzer, see you on the beach. Steve Thornton

Fritzy was my sim partner through my recent Airbus 330 type rating. He was the most kind and sweet man a person could be lucky enough to know. Of the past six months I spent more time with Fritz than anyone else from Ryan. I am so glad I got to spend such a great deal of time with such a good human being.
